I have purchased several versions of Bibles, KJV, NKJV NAS, various types and translations all the whiles I was looking for a Bible which I would get a deeper meaning to the word of GOD, allow me to quickly find a verse when needed; yet be easy to read. The Life Application is the ONE for me . The Character Profiles frame the sections of the book while the notes explode with examples for my life. The Mega Themes give a great overview for use in a teaching setting. And lastly the special charts i.e. overview of Kings are another gem. I have compared many of the word translations against against Strong’s, which has further pleased me. I strongly recommend this version to anyone who wants readability and accuracy.

What I'd Been Looking For!

I recently purchased an NIV Life Applicaton Study Bible and it has absolutely changed for the better the way I read the Bible, the way I study the Bible, and the way I meditate on God's Word. I want to commend everyone that had anything to do with the development of this Bible, and I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I am on a "Read the Bible in a Year" program which I started January 1, 2002. I did not have the NIV Life Application Study Bible at the time. I kept up with the reading, but at times I would read the text and have no idea what the context was or how it applied to my life. After purchasing the NIV Life Application Study Bible and using it to do my daily Bible reading, it actually seems like the readings go by quicker! Of course that's impossible since I'm reading the text along with the study notes and life application notes, but that's how much more the Word of God has come alive and how much more exciting it is to read and study now! I would recommend this Bible to new Christians as well as people who have walked with Christ their whole life and everyone in between.
